CData Arc v26: Enterprise Control, AI-Powered Workflows, and Modernized Integration
The CData Arc v26 release marks a major step forward for enterprise integration teams that need stronger configuration control, deeper automation, and tighter governance across complex data flows.
This release introduces built-in Git-based configuration management, expanded AI capabilities embedded directly into workflows, new security controls designed for regulated environments, and a set of user-experience improvements that make Arc easier to manage at scale.
Built-in configuration management with Git
Arc now includes native Git version control, bringing enterprise-grade configuration management directly into the product. Teams can connect Arc to GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps and track every configuration change with full authorship, timestamps, and history.
With commit history, visual diffs, and branching available inside the Arc interface, teams can test changes safely, collaborate more effectively, and maintain clear auditability without relying on external processes.
AI-powered processing inside integration workflows
CData Arc v26 expands its AI capabilities with a new AI Connector that allows teams to invoke AI services directly within integration workflows. The connector supports OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama, and OpenAI-compatible providers, making it possible to use AI as a trigger, transformation step, or terminal action.
Use cases range from summarizing and classifying transactions to translating documents, enriching records, or extracting insights from unstructured inputs. Custom prompts with ArcScript support give teams precise control over how AI services process their data.
More control over AI-assisted mappings
AI-assisted mapping has also been enhanced with custom mapping prompts, allowing teams to override default AI behavior and tailor mapping suggestions to domain-specific rules, formats, and standards. This gives organizations greater confidence and consistency when applying AI to critical integration logic.
Flexible AI deployment options
The release expands AI provider support beyond the services already available in prior releases, which included Ollama (Local) and OpenAI. With v26, Arc adds support for Ollama (Cloud), Gemini, DeepSeek, and OpenAI-compatible providers, giving teams broad flexibility in how and where AI workloads run.
This expanded provider list allows organizations to choose the right balance of data privacy, performance, and cost. Teams can keep models local, use managed cloud services, or connect to compatible third-party endpoints, all while using the same AI Connector and prompt-driven workflow patterns inside Arc.
Stronger security and compliance controls
Security remains a core focus in v26, highlighted by the introduction of tamper-evident logging. Using cryptographic hash chains, Arc ensures that audit logs cannot be altered without detection. Any tampering triggers alerts, helping organizations meet compliance requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR while preserving trust in audit data.
A more efficient, modern user experience
Arc v26 also delivers meaningful usability improvements across the platform:
In-app driver management simplifies installing, upgrading, and rolling back connector drivers
A redesigned Reports interface makes report creation faster and more approachable, with presets, improved transaction visibility, and support for reporting on custom message metadata through tracked headers
Bulk connector editing allows administrators to update settings across multiple connectors from a single, filterable view
A new Print View renders supported document formats in a clean, readable layout for faster review and validation
Together, these enhancements reduce administrative overhead and make large Arc deployments easier to operate day to day.
Important notice on version support
As part of this release, CData is discontinuing direct support for versions prior to Arc v25 as of April 17. Customers running Arc v24 or earlier should plan to upgrade to a supported release to continue receiving updates, fixes, and technical support. This aligns with CData’s standard support lifecycle and ensures customers benefit from ongoing security, performance, and platform improvements.
